Corners of the Internet

9:00:00 AM

There are many reasons why I love to blog, one of those reasons, if you read my 2 year blogging anniversary post a few weeks back, is that I get to read other people's blogs. There's just something really nice about relaxing with a cup of tea on a weekend morning that I don't have to be rushing off somewhere and reading about someone else's life. It's the little community I log into on my laptop and visit other people's corners of the internet.
While I have never written a post like this, I thought since I didn't do a traditional "things I liked in 2015 post" last month, it would be nice to do a "blogs i've liked in the last year" but that title is too long. So without further ado...here are some of the blogs that I've been reading and hope you do too!

Galaxy

Muted Mornings- I found Mimmi's blog through another blog that was having a postcard swap, and ever since then I've loved reading about her adventures and life in Glasgow! (also if you love owls and Harry Potter make sure to check her out.)

Sallys Baking Addiction- I can't tell you how many times I visit Sallys blog daily, especially being away from home. I come up with quite a list of things to bake. Sally's recipes are some of the best and if you have a throbbing sweet tooth, love for sprinkles and want a baking tip or two, go visit Sally!

Daydreams of Summertime - I've been reading Sarah's posts for awhile now and I really enjoy them. She recently went on a trip to New York City and shared amazing photos from her trip. If you're like me, you'll want to book your own tickets as soon as you're finished reading them!

Just Being Brooklyn- While I just started reading Brooklyn's posts, I love the voice she writes in and her posts about her time in Australia. This girl went bungee jumping!

Memories of the Pacific- Cristina is probably one of the longest readers I've had, and I really enjoy everything about her blog, from her outfit posts, to reviews about places she has been. I do hope you check out her blog, it's such a nice read!

Life Outside London- Michelle has a dog. If you like dogs, then you'll like Michelle. I love what she posts and seeing photos of her pups always brightens my day, and I hope it brightens yours as well!

Another fashion blog that I love and follow is of course, The Trend Pear. Eleanor and Max are best friends living in London and sharing their favorite fashion forward looks, spots to eat and holiday bits. I really enjoy this post and love seeing the looks they put together. They even give a look for less option, yes thank you.

Oh I'm Bree- Bree is new to the blogging community, with bits about life since she's moved to a new town and reviews and opinions, you can really tell she's a great person through her writing. (also she's my real-life pal )  So go give Bree a nice welcoming hello!

Drops of Anna- Anna is one of the sweetest people, and her blogs about her adventures and life in Spain are always a great read.

Alice's Antics- blogging from across the pond, I found Alice through Louise on Sprinkle of Glitter while she was living in Italy and have thoroughly enjoyed her real life voice and antics. She's on her way to studying in the states and I cannot wait to continue to read her posts!

I hope this gives you all a nice list of bloggers to check out! Who are your top 3 favorite bloggers? I could have added Niomi Smart, Zoella, Louise, Tanya Burr, but I figured most of you know who they are! If you have a blog make sure to leave a comment down below! I cannot wait to check them out.

Thanks for reading as always! Hope you're all having a great week!

Fall Favorites

1:30:00 PM

If you're a blogger, do you ever mean to write up a post but then something else comes up and that post gets pushed back? That's what happened with this one. See I meant to post it in September, when Autumn was just beginning, not the beginning of November with only a few weeks left.
Sorry. Blame school, work, other posts that came before this one.
Autumn has come in full swing here in Wisconsin and that means I can bring out some of my favorite things!
I can finally pull out my fuzzy socks, and turn on the fireplace.
In no particular order, here are a few of my current favorite things this season.

Drinks;

Hot Tea
I love hot tea. When I'm really cold, or even just anxious, I can pick a favorite flavor and pop it into the hot water and let it steep. Usually my favorites fall between Raspberry or Blueberry but the last trip to the grocery store I picked up a new box of assorted flavors and I'm really excited to try them!

Ice Tea
Even though Ice Tea is more of a Summer type of thing, I really can't stop drinking it. I may or may not get a little shaky thinking about it if I haven't had any for awhile. And I may or may not be on my second one while typing this. (I am)

Apple Cider
This is definitely a drink you can have in Winter as well. A friend recommended an Apple Cider that has caramel in it with the cider, topped with whip creme and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It is incredible.
But it's also really sweet, so I unfortunately cannot have too much! Which might be good for me...and  my wallet.

Clothing;

Scarves
There is nothing better than wrapping a nice knit infinity scarf over a sweater or shirt.
My neck is warm and I'm extremely happy.

Outfit
My favorite outfit this fall is this white flowy shirt from H&M, skinny black jeans and my newest pair of Oxfords. Paired with this heart necklace from forever 21.

Songs;

Right now my favorite songs of the Fall are
Fireproof by One Direction
Always you by Maroon Five
Unkiss me by Maroon Five
and
Leaving California also by Maroon Five

Scenery;

Fall always brings the prettiest colors here in Wisconsin so I try to take a deep breath and love it as much as I can because the terrible Winter will be on its way.
I've had to get up pretty early for work but the sunrises are really beautiful. And I also leave school in the afternoon to see the colors on the hills in my town.

For right now, these are all of my favorite things this season!
What are some of your favorites? Do we have any in common?
I do love reading your comments so even if you have nothing to say just type hello!

See you in the next post!

Winter Favorites

12:00:00 PM

 Since Winter is almost over (hopefully) I thought I'd share some of my favorite things that I've been loving!

  First, is this owl mug. I love drinking tea or apple cider especially when it's below zero and I'm obsessed with owls! It's a happy combination for the not-so-happy weather!
Second, is this gold nail polish by Maurices and a sparkly over-coat called "Holiday Rebel" from Target. I used these two colors for the holiday season because they made me feel more christmassy!
This also makes me really want Tanya Burr's new nail polish I really need to try it! If you have it what color is your favorite??
This is Big Ben. It's also a pencil sharpener but I don't want to make it dirty so I like to have it on my desk. Since my goal is to get to London and see this (and many other things) in real life! It's a nice little reminder that I can get there! ..hopefully sooner than later.

Okay now for clothes and accessories! This is my scarf bin. I have a lot, and I've gotten a lot of them for presents so I'm not really sure where all of them have come from!
The scarves below are all my infinity scarves, I love these for the winter especially when it gets really cold! I usually grab the red one because it matches a lot of the shirts I have and the others I usually wear with a plain colored shirt!

Aside from the infinity scarves I also wear these regular scarves! The one in the middle is the biggest as it's bunched up, it's from H&M one of my favorite stores!

Some of my favorite necklaces are my animal necklaces! These first three are owls!
This one was given to me by my Great Aunt and I love it! I wear it a lot!

This is the newest of my collection, I love wearing him because he has a little clock inside! I haven't set it yet though (That's why there's an orange tag at the side)

And this one I wear the most, if I need some good luck I like to have this one on me!

These are my only elephant necklaces but I like how they're both unique!

This last one is my ultimate favorite. I got it in Greece when I went in 2012. They called it the 'Eye of Medusa' and it means good luck! And since I like good luck I like to wear it a lot!
Now for everyone's favorite, my favorite shirts!
Since my college is really cold inside I love wearing sweaters!

This one is from Old Navy. It's really nice and warm and I love foxes it's so cute!

 This one is amazing I literally cannot tell you how much I adore it! I wear it with the scarf or I can wear it plain! It's by JawBreaking (shopjawbreaking.com) It's made in America and the material is SO soft. It makes me wish it was socially acceptable to wear something 7 days a week.

This pink one is also really pretty! It's got stripes on the back and a nice design on the sleeve. My favorite color is pink so you might find out my closet is 80% pink.

On the left, is a really warm blue-ish/green color that i've recently been obsessed with. And the one on the right is just a simple stripe top which I really like for lounge wear and I do wear it a lot. I believe both of these are from Target, I'm 95% sure since I shop there quite a bit.

Annnnnnd last but never least, my favorite any season is my dog (see I told you I take a lot of pictures of her but really how could I not?!)

Please leave a comment if you want to see anything else! :) I hope you guys like reading these as much as I like writing them!
