Christmas WishList

10:00:00 AM

Every year I get asked to make my parents a Christmas list, and every year I find it more and more difficult to conjure one up. As I've gotten older, there isn't much that I desperately want or need, I mean I could put a trip to Europe or some tropical destination on there but I have a feeling they would never go for that. I feel really lucky not to need so much for Christmas, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun to online shop and eventually whip up a list anyway! That's what this post is about. My Christmas wishlist. Maybe we have a few of the same things!

Christmas 2015

I like to split my lists into categories. Firstly there are Clothes.

Holiday fashion

Though mostly filled with sweaters and cardigans at this time of year, it's always nice to get a giftcard to my favorite shops as well. Those include H&M, Forever 21, Target and Kohl's. Recently I stumbled upon this shop called Spoiled Rotton, and it's online, it has all the above clothing. How cute! I love watermelon, I think throwing on a dress in the summer would be perfect and you can never have enough summer dresses! As well as the pullovers, never can have enough of those in the cold Wisconsin winter months.
Here are the links:
 (Watermelon dress) (Elephant Sweater)
(Purple sweater)  (Black and White Sweater)

The second category I like to put in is Scents.
I love changing smells throughout the seasons. This year, I recently purchased the Cup of Warmth from Bath and Body Works. It smells amazing, and makes me want to crawl into a warm blanket with a cup of tea or hot chocolate. A lot of my favorite scents come in the car type since I've got a bunch of candles already!

Scents

The fourth category for me is Bath.
You all know, if you've been reading my blog for awhile that I love LUSH. I love taking a nice warm bath after work or when the weather is cold and relaxing with some bath bombs. Lush has their christmas ones out. Though many of those are on my list, I also enjoy my all time favorites (that's Fizzbanger, Butterball, and Blackberry).

As far as other things on my list, I really don't have anymore ideas. I don't expect any of this stuff to actually end up in my stockings or under the tree but it's fun  to pick and choose.
There are also decorative pillows like these that would look nice in my dorm room!
Light gray pillowDecorativeHoliday Pillow
(these come from Target, Kohls and Shopko!)

In all honesty, I think I spent more time on the website of WorldMarket looking for stocking stuffers (because they have food from all over the world) than I did anything else. I mean, dark chocolate? Yes please. Even though I'm cutting back sugar and trying to eat healthy they still had those options for me too!
I really enjoy giving gifts much more than I enjoy receiving them. I like making the gift or buying it off the shelf and wrapping it and handing it off to the person. I love Christmas so much. I can't wait to continue on celebrating all month long!
What kind of things are you asking for for Christmas? Anything that you're excited to give away?
I hope you've all done all your shopping!
x :)

Summer Nights

8:30:00 AM

It's the first of August already? What?!  This Summer (like all summers) is going by so quickly! I decided while I had a bit of time to show off my newest JawBreaking purchase as well as a new plaid jacket I bought from a secondhand store!

Flannel

Jacket

Jawbreaking, plaid

You can find the shirt at this link right here!
I love having new clothes for the Summer and into the Fall. I haven't owned any plaid for quite some time, I feel like it went out of style a bit and now it's back!
Hope you all like this post!
Thanks for reading!

Top Ten Tag

6:39:00 PM

First of all, I am sooo sorry for the lack of posts. I've been busy with school and work and honestly, I haven't felt extremely motivated to whip up a post every weekend. But here I am, finally getting to a tag that I meant to do in September. (Sorry Jenny)
This is the top ten tag. I was tagged by the lovely Jenny from Jenny's Everyday Life
I'm usually not a big makeup person, but I did find ten things somewhat related to make up that I use often!

1.Foundation
For myself I use, Cover Girl's clean and sensitive skin foundation. Usually I don't go for foundation in the Summer months as I just use Concealer..

2.Concealer
For concealer I stick with Cover Girl, using a little darker color as I tan really easily in the Summer time!

3. Powder
Again, sticking with Cover Girl (I clearly like their product huh..) I usually use this if I'm going out, to school or dinner or hanging out..otherwise it doesn't come out.

4. Blush
For blush, I use a lighter color from Ulta, I'm not too sure what it's called, it's not super light pink but not deep red either. (I told you I'm not a big makeup person right?)

5.Shampoo
This is where Jenny put "Bronzer" and since I don't use bronzer at all...I thought I would tell you about the shampoo I use. It's from Bath and Body Work's and it's called Energy. It smells amazing, made with Ginger and is supposed to wake you up a bit just to give you a small boost of energy.

6.Lotion
Another part of this tag that I changed, for Lotion right now I love the Shimmer and Shea Cashmere Glow by Bath and Body Works. Half of the bottle is the shimmer and half is lotion, you can choose to do both at the same time or mostly lotion, or mostly shimmer! It's a great winter smell as well!
7.Mascara
Right now I use Cover Girl's lashblast (the one in the red tube). I like that it gives you a "I'm not wearing any mascara but my eyelashes look a bit longer thank you for noticing" look.

8.Eyeshadow
I really don't have a favorite brand, and my eyeshadow color depends on what my outfit is for that day. If I'm not going anywhere fancy I don't even wear any! Otherwise I just swipe on a light brown color with a dab of light purple to give myself more of a fresh look.

9.Perfume
For Winter right now, I love Taylor Swifts Wonderstruck, if I'm going for a fancier night I use Jennifer Anistons perfume. I did write a list of more perfumes on this blog post here

10.Lips
Of course, it being almost Christmas, and really snowing resulting in many more darker shades in clothing, I opt for the darker lip shades. Again, if I'm not going out and if I don't really care all that much, I just use Carmex, the pomegranate flavor!

I hope you enjoyed reading this tag! Sorry I haven't written in awhile!

I'm taking
and Anna

If you've already done this tag link them in the comments for myself and others to read!

p.s I am still doing christmas cards, so If you would like to send eachother one, make sure you email me or message me on twitter! (click here to go to twitter

Nail Inspiration Anyone?

11:00:00 AM

Ever since I could paint my own nails I have. I used to have my nails painted all of the time and I would create so many cool designs!
Sometimes I do go through a few weeks without wearing anything except clear coat, but every now and then I do get creative and decide to put on some colors I haven't worn in awhile! I have a big collection, and sometimes it's hard to remember what I have or haven't worn after awhile!
Over time I've gathered quite the collection of nail polish colors, some I wear more than others. Some of them are also colors that I would wear depending on what season it was. Others are also used for decorating my nails.

The first color I've recently just tried is this green color by Essie. I don't really remember wearing it before so I thought I would give it a try!
It's a really pretty green and reminded me of Spring and March. It's called The More the Merrier and you can get it online here! The great thing about Essie that I've found is that their nail polishes tend to stay on for a nice amount of time! Unfortunately for me, I still pick at my nails. But a bit less when I wear nail polish!

The second nail coat I tried was doing a pink background with white dots. Pretty easy I know, but I have't really done any designs for the longest time so I thought I would start with something simple!
I used Julep's Carrie nail polish for the first coat. It gives such a light pink color I love it! I then used the Art Club White color for the dots. Doing my nails this way made me think of Spring like the above Green color did! I really like the pink color, as April is right around the corner it's perfect! It might be one of my favorite pink's that I have so far!

I hope this gives you inspiration for your own Nail Art! I'll probably be doing more of these when I get more time on my hands or when I'm just looking for something new to do!
Thanks for reading!

A Smelly Post

12:30:00 PM

I don't know about you, but I'm one of those people who love perfume. Did you think this post was going to be about something else? Well it's not!
I'm one of those people who have to see what something smells like when I walk by, and I also really love how the bottles look too!
I have a lot of perfumes, but I obviously can't wear them all, I imagine I would smell really strong. Like bad strong. You never want to smell too strong. You'll scare people. Don't scare people.

I tried to organize them  with the tall ones in the back and the smaller ones up front. Unfortunately after pulling all of these out I realized some of them are empty, maybe I've been keeping them because I like the bottles. Some of these I also use more often than others as well. It's interesting how a certain perfume can have a certain smell that makes you think of a particular time. Some of these have more wintry smells and some are more springy or summery (are those even words?). Well let's began shall we?
Before you say anything I really don't know where the cap for the one to the left is. It wasn't on the shelf anywhere so it might have been thrown out at some point. I don't really use these as much, because there's less of them and they've been stuffed in behind the bigger bottles for quite some time. The two to the left of the tallest one are the same, they're both by Clinique and both made in the US apparently. And the tallest one is called Realities and I'm not really sure who it's by, so if you know comment it.
This one is Jennifer Aniston. And if you don't know who that is, I suggest you go watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S asap. Her perfume smells elegant. The bottle is so neat too isn't it? I would hate to use it up all at once so I usually only wear it for special occasions. If you're looking to buy it, I see it at Target sometimes and I know Sephora has it and also Ulta.
Oh Taylor Swift. I love her perfumes. I haven't tried her third one yet but I think I better use up some of these other ones first.  The purple one is called Wonderstruck and the red one is called Enchanted. The purple one is a more springy smell and the red one is more of a wintry smell. I've been using the red one more often lately since it's still winter. Still. Can it end soon though? I love these bottles, the charms are a really cool touch to it. These two are probably my favorite ones as I use them the most! You can find these at Ulta, sometimes Kohls, and Target and Macy's. I also have the lotion and shower gel which came with the Wonderstruck (purple bottle).
This might sound really bad, but I haven't actually worn this one yet. I can't wait to wear it though, it's just smells like summer or spring so I'm trying to hold off. It's Our Moment by One Direction. The bottle is pink. I love pink. It's a really cool design. And hey I got a free picture of the boys with it too! If you're looking to buy it, Ulta has it, otherwise I'd check the boys website! ( http://onedirection.edenparfums.com/ ) Oh, there's also a commercial that plays right away so make sure you're volume isn't all the way up. And don't look in their eyes if you're a teenage girl. You might experience heart or breathing troubles.

These two are really great smells! Love's Baby Soft smells like baby powder not like an overwhelming amount just...soft, which is probably why they call it Baby Soft. I've gone through about two bottles already so I try not to use these up so much. You can get these here http://www.danaclassics.com/ . I'm not really sure where they sell them in stores as I haven't bought these myself. I'm pretty sure these were gifts for my birthday or some holiday.
These two have slowly begun to become my new favorites, the really tall one is called Clinque Happy. And the shorter one is by Tommy Hilfiger called Tommy Girl. Someone complemented me that I smelled good while I was wearing Tommy and it was the first time I had worn it in awhile so obviously it was a success. They're almost out, as you can see. I have to get more soon! I'm not even sure if they still make these to be quite honest, I'll have to look. They were hand-me-down perfumes from my mom.
I love Bath and Body Works. It's one of those "must go in" places at every mall. They're always having some sort of sale. Unfortunatley I find somethings to be kind of pricey but sometimes you can find a good deal! My absolute favorite thing they have ever done is make the Frozen Daiquiri scents. I had the lotion at one point, it's now long gone and I've had the spray. After I found out they didn't make it anymore I was really sad so I decided to use it sparingly. I also had the lipgloss as well. I also really like Midnight Pomegranate. It has a wintery smell on it. Obviously shown off by the snowflake. They usually always have it in stores so I just spray it on after a shower or right before I leave. The Citrus Punch Body Splash(with moisturizing aloe vera ) is a good one too. It's more of a summery smell. And my Pink Chiffon is the newest, as it's the fullest out of the selection. I haven't really had a lot of time to use it but I do like the way it smells! The one in the middle with the bow around it is called Honey. It's from the Sweetheart collection that Bath and Body Works did and it's one of my favorites. It's easy to travel with too as it's not glass and it's less likely to break. That being said, I use it the most and it's such a good smell. Like summer but I wear it in the winter anyway. You can see their products here bathandbodyworks.com

An essential in any handbag is a portable perfume tube. I love these as I can put them on basically anywhere to smell fresh. And I don't even have to lug around a big bottle of perfume! Who does that?
These are the only three I have, The littlest one is Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture (which I just opened before writing this blog ) , you can get that at Victoria's secret as well as the one to the far right which is Heavenly. Heavenly is my favorite smell. Which sadly mine is almost out, I'm running on bare minimum. The one in the middle is also a new one for me it's called Me by Aeropastle. It smells very nice too! I've used it a few times.

I need to learn how to travel with these things. It's easier to travel with the ones that are plastic like the Bath and Body Works Honey perfume which I just stick in a glove and tuck away in my bag, but sometimes gloves can't fit everything so I tend to just whip out some kleenex and pair-less gloves and put them in one of my makeup bags. There has to be a better system right?

Also, little heads up..I added a new page to my blog if you haven't seen it! It's the "Get in Touch" page at the top! It has my twitter, instagram and email so if you have questions or suggestions then you can just email me or follow me and see what I'm up to. Also if you just need anyone to talk to you can always send me an email saying hello. I like to meet new people and I don't bite, I promise. I also would love it if you sent me your blog links if you have one so I can follow you!
Hope you have a great day!
